Genesis is the luxury brand of South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group. Genesis is the standard-bearer for Hyundai and shows what the company is capable of in the luxury car market. The Genesis name first appeared on a Hyundai in 2004 as the brand's flagship luxury sedan, and was announced as a standalone brand in November 2015. The company's first car, the Genesis G90 sedan, was launched in 2017. Powered by all-aluminum V6 and V8 engines, and available with rear- or all-wheel drive, the G90 was praised for being the least expensive car in the segment without sacrificing any luxury or build quality.
