Volvo S90 Safety

The Volvo S90 is a safe car. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2018 Volvo S90 the highest rating. Most safety features are standard, such as:

 

• Automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning
• Lane-keeping assist
• Adaptive cruise control

Optional features add another level of safety. They include adaptive bending headlights, front parking sensors and active park assist to help drivers navigate tight spaces. The Volvo S90 also has dual front side-mounted airbags, front and rear airbags and occupant sensing deactivation.

Volvo S90 Interior

The Volvo S90 has five seats. The interior is a strong point, outclassing most rivals in terms of styling and quality of materials. For the 2018 Volvo S90, the cabin has standard leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a ten-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Quad-zone automatic climate control is available with some trims. Then there are the additional features, like Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel. You can even opt for massaging front seats!

Volvo S90 Technology

The Volvo S90 has a great tech offering. There is the standard infotainment system, with a nine-inch touch screen which is easy to use once you get the hang of it, Bluetooth, navigation and a ten-speaker stereo system. Driver tech includes a 360-degree camera. Android Auto or Apple CarPlay are standard on newer models. There are additional tech options to consider, such as the nineteen-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system and semi-autonomous driving features.

Volvo S90 Space

The Volvo S90 is more than a match for its rivals in terms of space. The cabin is open, and the door pockets and centre console offer several storage options. The front seats are roomy, and the rear seats are spacious, giving every passenger a comfortable ride.




The trunk is average at 13.5 cubic feet. A nice practical addition is the 60/40 split-folding rear seat and the pass-through. The Volvo S90 can easily handle a full carload.

Volvo S90 Comfort

The Volvo S90 has a well-deserved reputation for comfort. Though the steering can be heavy, the car delivers a powerful and smooth driving experience. This is not a sports sedan, and it is best for cruising. Wind and road noise are kept to minimum.




The 2019 Volvo S90 has a suspension system with five driving modes (Comfort, Eco, Dynamic, Off-road and Individual), so you will be covered in all road and weather conditions.
