Toyota Land Cruiser Safety

All models of the Toyota Land Cruiser offer drivers a fair amount of advanced safety features. In addition to airbags and LATCH child safety anchors, the Land Cruiser has four-wheel anti-locking brakes (ABS) and brake assist to minimize the risk of potential accidents on the road.

Additionally, the newer 2019 comes standard with more modern features including Toyota Safety Sense, such as:

• Front and Rear Parking Sensors to alert the driver of obstacles while parking
• Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which helps you reverse by detecting other vehicles approaching from the right or left rear
• Multi-View Parking Camera, which allows for a bird’s-eye view of the vehicle to simplify parking
• Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection to identify and avoid possible accidents

Toyota Land Cruiser Interior

The Toyota Land Cruiser comes in only a single trim but with a generous list of amenities for your luxury SUV, even in older years. Models as old as 2007 include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Although the vehicle’s interior is constructed of mostly high-quality materials, some find the cabin to have a bland design.

Drivers can enjoy the Land Cruiser’s entertainment suite that includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 14-speaker JBL® audio system and HD radio, as well as Siri Eyes Free that enables voice control. While the vehicle’s infotainment suite is easy to use, some drivers think its graphics are low quality.

For those with children, the Land Cruiser can be equipped with a rear-seat entertainment system. Two 11.6-inch display screens come with wireless headphones, an HDMI input and a remote. Older models from 2007 are loaded with configurations like a CD changer, automatic climate control systems in the front and rear seats, as well as an optional navigation system with Bluetooth compatibility and a DVD entertainment system for backseat passengers to enjoy those long road trips.

Able to seat up to eight people, the Toyota Land Cruiser offers plenty of room in the cabin. Although all variations of the Land Cruiser provide ample cargo space, newer models from 2016 boast up to 82 cubic feet with both the second and third rows of seating folded down.

Toyota Land Cruiser Comfort

The Land Cruiser boasts spacious, comfortable seats. Occupants in the vehicle’s second row of seating can add more room by sliding and reclining their seats. However, the third row of seating can feel a bit cramped and is best left for smaller passengers. 

Available with a 2.8 L inline-four-cylinder diesel engine, the Toyota Land Cruiser is also an efficient work vehicle. The SUV can offer 18 L/100 km in the city and 13 L/100 km on the highway.
