Nissan Titan Summary
If you’re after a truck that’s powerful, comfortable and easy to drive, the Nissan Titan checks all three. Although some drivers wish they could pull heavier loads with the Titan, the truck’s rapid acceleration despite its bulky, full-size pickup shape makes it a serious contender—especially combined with its often modest price point.
No matter the model you choose, you’ll drive away with a monstrous 5.6 L V8 engine under the hood, plus a seven-speed automatic transmission. An added diesel powertrain on the Titan XD trim can come in handy if you’re hauling a lot of cargo.
Nissan Titan Safety
Depending on the model year, the Nissan Titan comes with tons of safety features as standard. These include:
- Brake assist to help you stop faster when performing emergency stops (on 2014 models and up)
- Driver, passenger, front head and front side airbags
- Electronic stability control, which automatically kicks in when the mechanism detects that the truck might skid
- Traction control to ensure your tires don’t slip when you accelerate (available from 2009 onward)
Nissan Titan Interior
Depending on the trim and seating configuration, the Titan can seat between three and six people. Keep your eyes out for the following extras across different models. Available on the Pro-4X trims are:
- Power-adjustable front seats so you can change your posture and position with ease, also possible with the SL trim
- Heated front and rear seats for a more comfortable ride, available with SL and Platinum Reserve trims
- A heated steering wheel to aid your grip, which you can also find on the Platinum Reserve trim
Nissan Titan Technology
Titan models from the early 2000s start delivering on the tech front, with AM/FM radios as standard and heated mirrors and keyless entry available on higher trims. Fast forward to 2012, and LCD screen displays start to appear in the PRO-4X. In the newest models, you’ll find jazzy tech features as standard:
- Bluetooth functionality for hands-free calls and navigation from your devices
- USB ports for in-car charging
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to mirror your smartphone’s music and apps on the Titan’s in-dash information unit
Nissan Titan Space
Drivers and passengers alike can expect a roomy, comfortable cabin in old and new Titans. Surprisingly, the truck’s rear seats are the best option for tall adults—front seats can only slide back a short distance, which can limit legroom.
You’ll find clever spaces for storing small items throughout the cabin for a bit of added convenience. As for the truck bed, it comes in three lengths depending on the seat configuration. The tie-down cleats and a 110-volt power outlet make it easy for you to secure your luggage and hook up your powered gear.
Nissan Titan Comfort
You’ll find cloth upholstery as standard across Titan models. If you want more of a luxe feel, look for leather seats in higher-trim editions as far back as 2004. The fancier later models take the comfort up an extra notch with heated front seats so you can stay snug even on winter work days.
