Mazda CX-7 Safety

The Mazda CX-7 offers a range of safety features as standard from its first model year, 2007, including:

• Anti-lock braking system to keep your car from skidding 
• Driver and passenger airbags
• Electronic stability control to prevent swerving when traction is lost

Since model years don't go past 2012, more modern driver assist features won't be found. However, the high-end trims bring additional technologies such as a rearview camera to assist with parking and reversing, as well as fog lamps and child safety locks.

Mazda CX-7 Interior

A well-designed interior gives way to plenty of standard comforts and conveniences. The following features come with the base CX-7 across all model years:

• Keyless entry 
• Vanity mirrors for the driver and passenger
• Power steering
• Rear floor mats
• Adjustable steering wheel
• Power windows, door locks and mirrors operated at the push of a button
• Steering wheel mounted controls for audio and climate

The high-end Sport and Touring trims give occupants leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated front seats. The Mazda CX-7 gas tank size is bigger on older models, with the 2009 sporting a capacity of 69 L versus 62 L on the 2012.

Mazda CX-7 Technology

An AM/FM radio and CD player with four-speaker stereo are standard from 2007. Luxury trims like the Sport in the following model year offer extras such as satellite radio, an MP3 player and premium Bose sound system. Bluetooth capability is available with the 2010 model, as well as the Mazda CX-7 navigation system, which is straightforward to use. Keyless ignition is an option with the Grand Touring package.

Mazda CX-7 Space

While some drivers might find that the cargo area isn’t hugely spacious, the fold-down rear seats produce some extra room. Similarly, although the CX-7 seats five adults, the rear spaces don’t offer as much headroom or legroom as the more ample front.

The Mazda CX-7 is both functional and comfortable, with air-conditioning offered as standard in all models and an upgraded automatic climate control feature available on select trims. Adjustable driver seats with lumbar support and a power moonroof are an option, too. Many drivers report that the Mazda CX-7 provides agile handling and a smooth ride with its sporty suspension and responsive steering.
