Honda CR-V Safety

The CR-V features some of the latest technology that you often find on more expensive cars. This includes lane assist and adaptive cruise control to help motorists on long trips stay safe on the highway. Honda Sensing™, which comes standard on some later models from 2016, includes:

• Forward Collision Warning and the Collision Mitigation Braking System to prevent collisions
• Road Departure Mitigation and Lane Departure Warning to keep from drifting out of your lane 
• Driver Attention Monitor, which sounds an alert to prevent dozing

Optional safety features include blind spot information, automatic high beams, and Rear Cross-Traffic Monitoring for those tight spaces and nearby vehicles.

Earlier models from 2007 come with some key safety features, such as anti-lock brakes and stability control to prevent skidding and front-seat side and full-length side curtain airbags—a backup camera is available only with the EX-L trim.

Honda CR-V Interior

Honda has focused on making the CR-V look high-end. The interior has a soft dashboard finish and faux wood details. The front seats are comfortable and supportive, and those riding in the back have room to stretch their legs. Other features include:

• Controls located on the steering wheel for added convenience
• Synthetic (mainly) interior finishes with a high-end appearance
• Heated front seats and dual-zone climate control

Honda CR-V Technology

As noted in the safety section, the Honda CR-V's technology is usually associated with more luxurious cars. On newer models from 2015, some find the interface on the entertainment system hard to use, but it is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle also has:

• Proximity key entry, push-button engine starter, and remote starting 
• USB ports in the rear seat that are convenient for long family trips

On older models like the 2007, you'll still find decent tech like a four-speaker CD player, auxiliary jack and outside temperature gauge, so you know exactly what weather conditions you're driving in. A navigation system package, which includes a backup camera and upgraded stereo amplifier, comes with the EX-L.

Honda CR-V Space

The cargo area of the Honda CR-V is large and adaptable with two level modes: full flat and max capacity. The CR-V doesn’t have the option of third-row seating like other larger SUVs, but for a crossover, it has plenty of room. Five people can sit comfortably, and the back seat has generous legroom for adult passengers. The back seats fold down in a 60/40 split, allowing for extra cargo capacity even if someone is sitting in the back.

Honda CR-V Comfort

The Honda CR-V is highly adjustable and makes for a comfortable ride. The driver has a 12-way power seat with four-way lumbar support, while the front passenger has a four-way power seat. For those chilly winter days, you can rest assured the seats and steering wheel are heated. A leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob are included on some trims, like the EX-L.
