Honda Civic Safety

Newer Honda Civic models offer advanced safety features that help you anticipate and avoid potential dangers, such as standard full-length side airbags and four-wheel anti-locking braking system (ABS) on models as old as 2008. The Civic also features electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) on most models, which optimizes your braking power based on the weight distribution in the car.

Standard safety features on newer models from 2018 include:

Honda Civic Interior

The Honda Civic has a wealth of interior styles and colours to choose from, but it's worth noting that these are usually associated with particular trims. It comes down to your budget and preference—for instance, black fabric is offered on the low-end models, while mid-range to high-end models feature black leather.

For an additional price, drivers can also select these features, available across later 2000s models:

Honda Civic Technology

The Honda Sensing Technology system is designed to make your journey safer by helping you in emergencies. New Civics from 2018 come with a forward collision warning system, collision mitigation warning system, lane departure warning system and blind-spot display.

The Civic's technology suite extends beyond its safety features. For example, the model has a 7" display audio system—although some drivers say this is difficult to operate.

Older models also have plenty of tech, such as full power accessories, keyless entry, a four-speaker CD/MP3 audio system and an auxiliary audio jack for enjoying your personal playlist—all standard on the LX trim from 2008.
