GMC Sierra Summary
The GMC Sierra is reliable, powerful and comfortable. With points for high mileage, a range of engines and additions for the cabin, both newer and older trims rank highly on full-size truck ratings. This is a truck that will work for you. With a solid reliability rating and impressive towing and hauling capacity, the GMC Sierra is made for the job site. But, with comfortable seating for up to six people, there is plenty of room for family trips. And whether for work or family, new models use the latest technology.
GMC Sierra Safety
The 2020 GMC Sierra has a four-star overall crash test rating, and older models have similar high ratings. Both new and older models come with optional driving assistance features like automatic high beam lights, lane warnings, parking sensors and multiple camera systems (including rear view).
Some highlights for the 2020 model are the Forward Collision Alert, which detects possible front crashes, and the Lane Keep Assist that prevents drifting from your lane. Airbags are another important safety feature, with driver, passenger, front head, rear head and front side airbags as standard.
GMC Sierra Interior
The GMC Sierra is noted for its quality interior. Both newer and older models seat up to six people, and if selecting the Crew Cab, all the seats are comfortable with plenty of legroom.
Packages offer cloth, vinyl or leather upholstery, heated seats and a heated steering wheel. There are optional features such as climate control, sunroof and power-adjustable front seats (in newer models), so you have a lot to explore while looking at the GMC Sierra.
GMC Sierra Technology
Keeping up to date with technology has always been important to GMC, and the GMC Sierra is no exception. The 2020 GMC Sierra has many available features like the Bose audio system, wireless Wi-Fi and USB functions. The infotainment system is a highlight that comes standard. You can navigate the controls easily, and the menu is intuitive. The system syncs with smartphones and other devices for added convenience. Earlier models have good tech for their time, with even the 2010 model sporting satellite radio and a Bose speaker system.
GMC Sierra Space
In both newer and older trims, space is a major strength for the GMC Sierra. The 2020 model has three choices for bed lengths: 8-foot; 6-foot, 6-inch; and 5-foot, 8-inch.
For all trim levels, the cabin has spacious and comfortable front seats, but the Crew Cab’s larger rear seats are better suited for adults, while the Double Cab’s rear seats are best for younger passengers. You can easily install child safety seats in the back, with plenty of room to spare for older children.
GMC Sierra Comfort
The GMC Sierra provides you with a comfortable drive over rough terrain, city streets and the highway, so you can use it for work or regular driving. The GMC Sierra is a large truck, but it has a good turning radius so you can control it in tight spots.
You will have the choice of standard rear-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive. Newer trims are equipped to absorb impact for a smoother driving experience.
