Ford Mustang Safety

Newer Mustangs like the 2017 comes with a wealth of standard safety features, including dual front airbags, front-seat side-impact airbags and knee airbags. Additionally, the car features:

• A Personal Safety System for both the driver and front passenger, made to minimize the risk of airbag injuries
• An SOS Post-Crash Alert System, designed to alert other vehicles by sounding the horn and flashing the lights
• A Belt-Minder front safety belt reminder
• Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection and automatic emergency braking is available as an add-on

Considering they lacked more advanced features, older models from 2008 were still regarded for their safety, scoring five stars on front-impact protection tests and featuring anti-lock brakes and traction control to prevent skidding.

The Mustang's standard models in the mid to late-2000s have impressive interior features, such as the push-button engine start and automated controls for wipers. Active noise cancellation, power windows and a rearview camera are also all included. The driver and front-seat passenger both sit in either two-way or four-way adjustable cloth bucket seats. All newer standard models, like the 2016, are equipped with a six-speaker sound system and SYNC infotainment system. Optional add-ons include Wi-Fi connectivity with FordPass Connect and the satellite radio service Sirius XM. You can find 2008 models with keyless entry, full power accessories and a CD player with an auxiliary input jack, so you can still have an entertaining ride even with an earlier model.

The Ford Mustang was mainly designed with the comfort of the driver and front passenger in mind. Providing substantial legroom and adequate height, the front seat is the coveted spot. Backseat passengers, however, may find their road trip experience a little cramped. The large passenger and driver doors allow for better access to the backseat, but some find them bulky.
