Apart from the real 1970s classics, most second and all third-generation Challengers have airbags fitted to all trims as standard. Heavier-duty anti-lock brakes and stability control, which helps keep the powerful car from skidding, started to become standard with 2010 models. You’ll find even more safety features available with the most recent editions, such as:

• Blind-spot monitoring for safer lane changing
• Adaptive cruise control with braking guidance to warn when other vehicles are too close

Dodge Challenger Interior

Models old and new deliver the interior you’d expect from a muscle car: chic and designed with quality materials. On the newer models especially, you can customize your ride with different leather options and luxury features like seats that can be heated or ventilated. Bucket seats are standard in most models, and top-trim versions offer extras like a heated steering wheel. The roofline does reduce visibility out the back, though, which some drivers might find bothersome.

The 7-inch display on recent models offers up-to-date information, from navigation maps to performance charts, through Dodge’s own Uconnect system. You can tailor the screen so that your preferred information is always on display, or sync up to your Android or Apple device. Models from 2015 and up also come with SRT Drive Mode, which lets you switch between different configurations like sport and track settings. On versions around the 10-year-old mark, you can expect standard tech features like:

Dodge Challenger Space

The Challenger is roomier than its sporty silhouette might lead you to think—in the front cabin at least. You’ll have lots of legroom for the driver and front passenger, but things aren’t so generous in the back. Some drivers complain of limited space in the rear seats, which makes the Challenger a better choice for solo drivers.

Dodge Challenger Comfort

For the most comfort, stick to the front section of the cabin. The displays and controls are intuitively laid out and easy to reach, and the seats are sloped and comfortable even at high speeds and on long drives. Some drivers find the steering to be too heavy, but overall the Challenger does a surprisingly good job of absorbing bumps so that you get a smooth ride.
