Chevrolet Trax Safety

Although the Chevrolet Trax doesn't feature as many standard advanced driver assistance features as other vehicles in its class, the vehicle has fantastic safety scores from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Chevrolet Trax offers drivers a fairly well-designed cabin. Although the interior materials are well-made, some may find that the vehicle lacks the luxurious elements often found on other options in this class. Base options come standard with cloth upholstery, a four-way manually adjustable driver's seat and two-way manually adjustable passenger seats. Complete with two full sets of LATCH car-seat connectors, parents will find commuting with young children a simple and pain-free task.

Chevrolet Trax Technology

No matter the trim, all models of the 2020 Chevrolet Trax come standard with the manufacturer's Infotainment 3 System, which is straightforward and easy to operate. While older models of the SUV instead opt for Chevrolet's MyLink system, all models dating back to 2015 include Bluetooth, USB ports, a six-speaker audio system and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Although additional upgrades are available, drivers will be pleased to find a long list of standard features that are typically only available as optional add-ons for many of the Chevrolet Trax's competitors.

Despite being slightly undersized even among other subcompact SUVs in its class, like the Honda HR-V, the Chevrolet Trax makes the most of its limited space. With nearly 19 cubic feet of room behind the rear seats, it's straightforward for everyday commuters to stow their goods while going throughout their day. However, should more space be required, the rear seats fold down to extend the overall cargo space to more than 48 cubic feet. Passengers will be pleased to find ample head and legroom in all rows of seating in the Chevrolet Trax thanks to its well-designed layout.

Chevrolet Trax Comfort

Outfitted with a 138-horsepower turbo-four engine and a six-speed automatic transmission, the Chevrolet Trax is perfectly suited for everyday driving. Some drivers have found the SUV slow to accelerate, claiming that the vehicle can feel underpowered when driving on the highway. However, the car makes up for any performance issues with its exceptional steering. Requiring little effort to steer, the Chevrolet Trax is very effective when maneuvering in small quarters. While front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is also available on all trims.
