Chevrolet Traverse Safety

Awarded the top from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Chevrolet Traverse has a fair few standard safety features available with all model years, such as: 

• Driver, passenger, front-head, rear-head and front-side airbags
• Four-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC) and traction control, which prevent skidding during emergency braking and maintain control in adverse road conditions

Traverse LTZ models from 2015 onward include:

• Available forward collision and front pedestrian braking alerts to help you avoid collisions
• Available lane-keep assist and lane-departure warning to prevent drifting out of lanes
• Blind zone alert, which makes the presence of other vehicles or pedestrians known

Chevrolet Traverse Interior

While some drivers find the Chevrolet Traverse’s interior plain, others appreciate the simplicity. In the 2018 model, there are many styling options available, with 10 colours and four interior materials to choose from. An intuitive dash with steering wheel-mounted controls makes the interior functional as well as attractive. 

Chevrolet Traverse Technology

The Chevrolet Traverse is loaded with tech. Models produced after 2013 come standard with a MyLink infotainment system. This system includes:

• A 6.5 or 7-inch display screen, depending on model year
• Bluetooth connectivity and Apple and Android integration, enabling phones to call or play music through the car stereo
• USB ports for charging mobile devices in models from 2014 onward
• Optional Wi-Fi hotspot

Buyers can also purchase additional features, including wireless device charging, satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment, a 10-speaker audio system and an upgraded 8-inch display screen.

Chevrolet Traverse Space

The Chevrolet Traverse has seven or eight seats, depending on the trim level and model year. Even with all seats filled, the interior still offers plenty of leg and headroom in all three rows.

The amount of cargo space available is impressive—with all rows in use, the cargo space is 23 cubic feet. When the second and third rows are folded down, this increases to 98 cubic feet, which is more than spacious enough to haul around hockey or camping gear.

Chevrolet Traverse Comfort

The Chevrolet Traverse is built with comfort in mind. Though it is quite large, the suspension ensures a smooth ride. The noise-cancelling cabin also makes sure the interior stays quiet. Available heated and ventilated front seats in later models make adapting to different temperatures easy and comfortable.
