BMW 8 Series Safety

The new generation of the BMW 8 Series is loaded and comes with many standard safety features that were not available during the first generation's production run, such as a backup camera. The new generation offers the following optional driving aids:

• Blind-spot monitoring – to tell drivers when a car is approaching them in the adjacent lane
• Lane-departure warning – to alert drivers if they're veering
• Cross-traffic alert – to warn drivers when vehicles are about to cross their path while reversing

Older models come with front airbags and traction control.

BMW 8 Series Interior

The BMW 8 Series is a four-seater with a refined interior and comfort-driven features. Standard amenities on the base trim include merino leather upholstery and a head-up driver display. Front seats, armrests and the steering wheel can all be heated on chilly days, while the front seats come with several power adjustments. The older models also come with heated seats and seat memory. The BMW 8 Series 2019 convertible soft-top can be deployed in just 15 seconds.

BMW 8 Series Technology

The latest release of the BMW 8 Series is filled with standard technology features that are easy to use. Buyers can expect to find these technical specs on the base model for the 2019 model year:

• Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• Smart Device integration
• Satellite and HD radio
• Wi-Fi Hotspot
• USB and auxiliary hookups
• Navigation system

Models built in the 90s have limited tech compared to modern versions, but the last of that generation does include a CD changer/cassette player and AM/FM radio.

BMW 8 Series Space

Drivers with big families might want to opt for the BMW 8 Series grand coupe, which has four doors and seating for five. For its class, the grand coupe feels quite roomy in both the front and back seats. Moving on to the coupe and convertible, the backseat becomes more cramped and is better left for smaller passengers. Trunk space is the most generous in the grand coupe, but the coupe version is also quite adequate. Naturally, the convertible model has the least amount of cargo room, but is still spacious enough for daily driving needs.

BMW 8 Series Comfort

The BMW 8 Series delivers on comfort and performance. Equipped with a Twin-Turbo V8 engine, this model can really gun it down the highway and curve sharply around corners without sacrificing on the passenger's cushiony ride. Some drivers feel that the BMW V8 is not as sporty as some of its rivals, but it can still accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 3.6 seconds. Whether it's through uneven terrain or winding roads, the ride feels smooth and composed.
