The Nissan 240 SX is a lightweight sports car sold across two generations and beloved by tuners and drifters alike. The first generation, known by its S13 model code, went on sale in 1989 with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine under its long, low hood. Despite only making 140 horsepower when it launched, buyers loved the Nissan 240 SX for its tuning potential, rear-wheel drive and 55/45 weight distribution, which made it well-suited for drifting. Pop-up headlights, four-wheel disc brakes and a rear spoiler all came standard. Power was boosted to 155 horsepower in 1991.

The second-generation Nissan 240 SX was introduced in 1995 with the same engine and choice of four-speed auto or five-speed manual transmissions. The new generation received a comprehensive redesign with a wider track and longer wheelbase for even better handling: The chassis was stiffened; fixed headlights replaced the pop-up units; and the fuel tank was moved behind the rear seats for better weight distribution. The second generation was available with options like four-wheel steering, lighter wheels and a limited-slip differential. The Nissan 240 SX went out of production in 1999.
