The Mazda 3 has powertrain and engine options

With the Mazda 3, you get a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, and front-wheel drive or all-wheel-drive beginning in 2019. Some models have SKYACTIV technology to improve the fuel efficiency of the engine. The four-cylinder engine of the Mazda 3 can be turbocharged for more speed.

The interior of the Mazda 3 is well designed and comfortable

The driver and front passenger have good leg room and head space, while the back seat passengers may feel a little cramped. The interior is well designed, with features such as a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows and driver and passenger sun visors. Higher-end trims offer a heated, leather wrapped steering wheel and most base models have heated seats and automatic climate control.

The Mazda 3 has safety features to help you feel safe

The Mazda 3 has an overall safety rating of five out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. There are eight airbags, with side and curtain airbags added after 2009 in addition to driver and front passenger airbags. Safety features include stability control which was added in 2011 to prevent skidding, and a rearview mirror to make backing up safer, which became standard from 2016. The newest 2019 vehicles offer safety packages with features such as Driver Attention Alert, which monitors driver mental alertness.
