Hyundai IONIQ Specs Review and Upcoming 2021 Features
By Kijiji AutosMore and more people are shopping for an environmentally friendly car for their next car. The two biggest benefits of an environmentally friendly car are saving on fuel and reducing emissions. Saving on fuel means saving money and reducing emissions means helping the environment.
One green vehicle that offers fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness is the Hyundai IONIQ. Here is what the Hyundai IONIQ has to offer:
1. The Hyundai IONIQ electric is fully electric
The Hyundai IONIQ electric model is an all-electric model, powered by an electric motor and battery, and does not use fossil fuels at all, meaning zero tailpipe emissions. In addition to all of the fuel cost savings, the 2017 Hyundai all-electric vehicle is an economical choice with a low operating cost.
It is important to know the range of your all-electric vehicle. The range refers to how far the vehicle can go on a charge. For an example of range, the 2020 Hyundai all-electric vehicle can go for a driving range of up to 274 kilometres on a single charge.
2. The Hyundai IONIQ offers two kinds of hybrid vehicles
Hyundai offers both the Hyundai IONIQ hybrid and the Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid. The Hyundai IONIQ hybrid offers a balance between an electric motor supplied by a battery and an internal combustion engine.
It won’t have the range of all-electric or electric power alone, but it reduces fuel consumption and conserves energy. If it can’t be plugged in, regenerative braking and internal combustion will combine to charge the batteries.
The Hyundai IONIQ plug-in hybrid uses electricity and gas. When the battery charge is exhausted, a gasoline engine or generator turns on. They both have an exceptional fuel economy rating for vehicles in their class, with room for five passengers, and lots of cargo space.
3. The Hyundai IONIQ has safety and technology features just like other regular vehicles
Safety features include airbags and a rearview camera, plus driver assistance features like a lane departure warning to keep you from drifting out of your lane and a rear cross-traffic alert so that you can reverse safely even when your vision is obstructed.
Every Hyundai IONIQ comes with an easy-to-use infotainment system, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, this system displays energy usage figures and any charging locations that are nearby.
4. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is coming in the fall of 2021
What really sets the Hyundai IONIQ 5 apart is the Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD), which essentially turns the windshield into a display screen. It is also the first Hyundai all-electric vehicle to offer all-wheel drive for ease of driving in any conditions, with an 800V ultra-rapid charger, that will charge up to 80% in just 18 minutes.
