- Dual climate zones
- Heated front seats

- Forward-collision warning
- Automatic emergency braking
- Driver drowsiness warning
A rearview backup camera became standard in 2014. Intelligent all-wheel drive is also available. Several Ford Escape models have been recalled, so due diligence is required when searching for a used model.

The optional infotainment system is easy to use. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality has been available since 2017. Since 2017, drivers can opt for Enhanced Active Park Assist, which helps parallel park the vehicle. Ford's SYNC3 technology replaced the Ford MyTouch infotainment system in 2016.
While recent models offer more in terms of tech and wireless connectivity, older models, such as the 2008 Ford Escape, come with an auxiliary jack, CD player and an optional navigation system.
Are you looking for a used Ford Escape? The 2013–19 model comes with these standard and optional tech gadgets:
- Stop-start engine system
- Hill-start assist
- WiFi
- Rear and side sensors
- HDMI port for backseat passengers
- Digital radio
How does the Ford Escape drive?Drivers looking for engine power should spend a little extra on an engine upgrade. The Ford Escape is a smooth and comfortable ride and shields passengers from outside noise. On more recent models, handling is sharp and steering is responsive, but in previous generations, such as the 2012 Ford Escape, the ride has been described as "truck-like".
Some models have lower-than-average fuel economy, but higher trims score slightly better, such as the 2019 Ford Escape SE.
